Start-Up Success Social

A new scheme for new social entrepreneurs from Oxfordshire Business Support (OBS) and Oxfordshire Social Entrepreneurship Partnership (OSEP)

Oxfordshire has a social enterprise community that is both thriving and growing rapidly.  OSEP working in partnership with Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership’s (OxLEP) business support service - OBS to offer a bespoke learning and development scheme for potential and existing small scale or early stage social entrepreneurs.

This is a unique opportunity to get your social enterprise up and running combines individual initial assessment and action planning with group working where you and your fellow social entrepreneurs work together to help to develop and refine your ideas.  There are formal Masterclass sessions on specific topics such as Legal Structures, Project Management Skills, Legal Structures and Finance and Funding.  We even offer you the opportunity to meet informally with other local social entrepreneurs and help to develop your network of contacts across the county. Taken together these elements are designed to give you a complete personalised package to equip you with the knowledge, and develop the skills you need, to set up and successfully run your social enterprise in Oxfordshire.

Every learner who signs up to the programme will have an individual learning programme which reflects their specific needs. You will have access to a range of resources including the Masterclass programme and weekend workshops provided by Oxford Brookes University plus some other specialist sessions. Through OSEP, you will develop a network of contacts and be able to help and support each other as well as receiving advice from specialist mentors and advisers.

Our most recent FREE scheme was completed in August 2016, and while we are awaiting the funding necessary to offer our next opportunity, we are taking names and contact information of people who would be interested in attending a future scheme.
