Current OSEP Business Support

Specialist 1:1 support

OSEP and partners are able to offer free advice to impact driven organisations based in Oxford City, South and Vale areas of the county with funding from UK Government.

We define an impact-driven enterprise (sometimes referred to as a social enterprise) as an organisation that:

  • Has a clear social or environmental mission at the core of its operations;
  • Reinvests the majority of profits towards achieving that mission rather than for private gain; and
  • Balances social impact and financial sustainability, operating with a viable business model.

This includes cooperatives and other business models that prioritise community benefit, democratic governance, and shared ownership, provided they align with the above principles.

  • 1-1 Business development support
  • Peer Networks
  • Small trainings
  • Local and national information and resources and signposting
  • Opportunities through local and national themes, agendas and campaigns
  • Connections and introductions to local key stakeholders and potential partners/collaborators

How the support is provided:
The support commences with an initial phone or email conversation, followed by a face to face or Zoom meeting. At the meeting, which takes approximately an hour, we gather information about your organisation, its aspirations, challenges and support requirements. To Register interest please complete this form

We will then follow up where relevant on the topics raised and opportunities for support and signposting via email. He will also be available should you wish to seek further and additional support.

1:1 feedback:

“Just wanted to say a big thank you for your time you made such a difference in that small amount of time.” Natalie Davis – spring 2021

“Thank you so much for all the different ways you have thought to support us, your fabulous (and renowned energy) and all these introductions at strategic levels.  Not only do I have faith that interesting steps forward will come from some of them, I also want to convey what an emotional boost it has been to both Andrew and myself to get such engagement, and, in start-up years, that is so important.  Thank you.” Candida March – summer 2021
