OSEP is a Social Enterprise set up to support social entrepreneurs, Social Enterprises, enterprising charities and purposeful businesses across Oxfordshire, addressing pressing social and environmental challenges. As the significance and need for enterprise to help address pervasive social challenges continues to grow, as well as new opportunities to do this, so does the role of OSEP in enabling and supporting existing and aspiring social entrepreneurs to thrive. OSEP also plays an important role in shaping local strategies and policies, alongside key local stakeholders.
How you can get involved
At this exciting time in the evolution of OSEP, we are looking to appoint two new voluntary non-executive directors to the OSEP Board, to help us realise our purpose to increase the impact of social enterprise and the shift in mainstream business across Oxfordshire. We are looking for passionate, committed and connected individuals who can support the OSEP team to promote a local economy that is ultimately more inclusive, reduces inequality and promotes building community wealth. Prospective non-executive directors will bring new skills and experiences to the OSEP Board, with a working knowledge of the political and policy landscape in Oxfordshire and experience in one or more of the following areas:
- LOCAL POLICY CAMPAIGNING
- MARKETING STRATEGY
- BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- STAKEHOLDER CONNECTIONS
- LEGAL ENTITY MANAGEMENT
- FUNDRAISING STRATEGY
- CIC GOVERNANCE
- STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT
- PROJECT / PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT
- CORPORATE CONNECTIONS
As part of the OSEP Board you will help shape our future strategic direction and realise our vision to support social enterprises of the future through quarterly board meetings and adhoc support to the OSEP team (no more than three/four days per quarter). You must be based in Oxfordshire and have an interest and/or connection to the local social enterprise/impact community.
